Put a smile on your face!

Water sports are fun for all ages and abilities. Along with the excitement of doing something new or working on mastery of a skill, there's a certain mindset that occurs as one participates in water sports. Flat out, it's a happy smile!

Whether surfing or wake boarding behind a G series Nautique, recreational skiing or tubing behind a sport 200, or 3 event ripping behind a 200, there's a physical happening some of which we can control; while otter energies we as riders/skiers have to accept.

Technique is something we can strive to achieve regardless of the water sports discipline. Whether riding a ski, skis, wakeboard, surfboard or bare footing, there is a certain neurological response triggering muscles to fire we do not necessarily use day to day.

Riding/skiing uses a lot of stabilizing muscles to help us balance, and larger muscles to allow us to move a board, accelerate behind a boat, land a jump, etc..
These muscles used in water sports almost cannot be simulated on land, in the gym or any other activity. Therefore we have to be as fit as we can in order to hope for the best in conditioning for our sport.
The most important part of off water training is conditioning the opposite muscles of what we use in our sport as well as all the joint stabilizers to help prevent injury.

All in all, there is no sensation like what we get from riding on the water, and fitness can only help us to enjoy our water sports more. The smile we get, is simply priceless. Personally, skiing has introduced me to some of the most amazing people, who all want one common thing....TO GO HAVE FUN ON THE WATER!
