The nearly straight leading edge, forward swept trailing edge and wide wingspan boost glide. The APF's foil section itself is high camber and relatively thick for excellent low end lift from very slow speeds, and it optimized specifically for low speeds so you can conserve energy while pumping at a relaxed cadence. Downturned wingtips reduce drag, further improving your potential to go the distance.
