Eagle offers a unique construction method to create the lightest and most functional vest available. This vest is made of 1mm neoprene with foam that's beveled and sewn directly into the inside of the vest. Our construction method solves two common problems found in other vests: excess weight and foam that can twist during hard falls. Most vests use a pocket system with inner and outer neoprene layers sewn together to hold the foam in place. This traditional construction can lead to twisted foam after hard falls. Additionally, these pockets trap water, and the double neoprene layers absorb more water, weighing you down. Our vests remain the lightest, especially when wet.

Note about fitting: Eagle Competition Vests are designed to fit skin tight. They are form fitting and will stretch if you are used to wearing a loose fitting vest, Eagle vests will feel much different. They are designed not to ride up while you are in the water. When you first zip the vest, it will feel quite tight, then loosen up once you are in the water. Also if you are new to Eagle, our vests may run one size smaller than other brands that you might be used to so carefully check the sizing chart to confirm the size for you.
